Adam's blog is now roaming the dirt roads of Vermont, chronicling transportation and travels one hill at a time...
Do you think Alexandria will join CaBi? I think it would make sense to have some bike stations in Old Town and near the MVT.
CaBi got discussed. For the time being, the city's been working with MWCOG to try and get a Kaiser-Permenente grant that could allow for a limited introduction of CaBi into the city.Outside of Old Town, there really isn't much along the MVT that would warrant a CaBi station. In no particular order, the most likely locations they'd be put are Old Town (along King St), DelRay, and the Potomac Yard area.
Good to hear! Union and King St, in front of the Starbucks would be a great location (officially, that is the MVT)and/or on Union in front of VeloCity. Another obvious place would be near the King St. metro so people could ride toward the river; and near Braddock metro which would allow people to ride to Del Ray and north Old Town. I'm not sure Potomac Yard would work, unless you mean near the path there or on the Del Ray side of Rt. 1.
